As I got to chat over lunch with these teachers, we discovered we had similar issues. Kids are being admitted into higher learning based on tests, and not all students show their skills through testing. How do we get the higher ups to understand this? How do we become involved in this kind of movement? After teaching all day, how do we find the extra time to become advocated for a more well rounded way of learning and achieving? We struggled with these questions together, and I am eager to see our anger turn into hope for the future.
