I've been gathering a lot of scaps recently of fabric, magazines, newspapers etc. I've also been really encouraging the kids at LV to think for themselves a bit more, instead of just copying the staff or each other. So, I dumped my scraps on the table along with some new white paper and markers. The kids were a bit baffled, as they waited for me to show them a sample. Finally after strongly encouraging them to start creating without me, I started to see pictures like these. My favorite is the picture with the mountains, and I especially love that this young artists went back over the magazine scaps to add small flowers as details going up the hill.
