Well, we're starting to feel the warnings of Monsoon season over here. Everyone is complaining that it's a bit too early to be getting electrical storms, but we're getting them every several nights along with some rain and even hail. The rain keeps things cool enough to get through an evening but on the days in between the humidity is trapped by the smog making it feel like a regular sauna around here. For you Philadelphians, think end of July weather without the option of air conditioning-UGH! The fact that I need to remain covered from head to toe doesn't help much, but I've switched from jeans to some loose cotton pants, making things a tiny bit easier. At night Will, Lisa and I lay around in our shorts and tank tops, usually with a cold glass of water, and a movie on the laptop to keep as much stickiness away as possible. All part of the experience;-)
The one thing I am loving about the storms is that Will and I always end up out on the front steps to watch the lightning over the hills. Without tall buildings around we really get an excellent view. With the storms usually happening at the end of the day, it's also just a nice way to unwind and talk about how things are going. Storm watching with a good cup of tea, now that's a relaxing way to start the evening.
