Will's Quilt Consultation

Up at Chhaya, the awesome chicken pot pie place, there is also a women's sowing cooperative. Our friend Barbra (who happens to be from Philly!) helps this group of women design and stitch quilts using traditional Indian fabrics. Barbra's daughter sells them online for the women who work at Chhaya at www.himalayantapestry.etsy.com.

Barbra was having a bit of artists block with some of her quilt color combinations and asked Will and I to come up and brainstorm some ideas. Will was really excited about this as there is a strong quilting tradition in his family. He and Barbara spent some time in the resteraunt looking over colors and discussing ideas on how to make better products. Will also got the chance to design two quilted bags of his own, one for our laptop, and one for Will's new Sruti Box.
